The Lodge was founded in 1927 and was the first fraternal order in Collier County. The chapter met in the old Courthouse until 1957 when the Masons acquired the old grocery store (Manhattan Market) and moved it to its present location. In 1960 Hurricane Donna destroyed most of the building, but it was refurbished with the discarded maple floor from the Everglades School gymnasium in 1962.
