Donald Sunshine

Donald Sunshine, FAIA, Professor Emeritus of Architecture, Virginia Tech, is an award-winning architect, author and artist. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, past president of the Virginia Society American Institute of Architects, and Distinguished Visiting Professor, University of Arizona.
He is well-known for his plein-air paintings and sketches of historic Southwest Florida landmarks, including Everglades City.
He created notable paintings and limited-edition prints of the historic Bank of Everglades building, which were acquired or featured by the Everglades Society for Historic Preservation (ESHP) to support local preservation efforts.
His collections of local historic building paintings have been showcased and featured during local receptions and events like Art-in-the-Glades in Everglades City.
