Everglades City was designated a Florida State Trail Town in 2019 by the DEP Office of Greenways and Trails with a ceremony that
recognized the amenities and recreational opportunities in the Everglades area. The local Trail Town Headquarters will be housed in
the rehabilitated Bank of Everglades Building when completed.
