Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States and the largest dedicated wilderness east of the
Mississippi River. An average of 1.1 million people visit the park each year. The Everglades National Park was established in 1934 and
dedicated in 1947 by President Harry Truman in Everglades City.  UNESCO listed the park as a World Heritage Site in 1979.
